Reishi mushroom, also called Lingzhi, and the "Mushroom of Immortality." In Chinese, the name Lingzhi represents a combination of spiritual potency and essence of immortality, and is regarded as the “herb of spiritual potency,” symbolizing success, wellbeing, divine power, and longevity. Reishi is used for its powerful adaptogenic qualities. Adaptogens are known for targeting the area of the body that needs it! An all-rounder, Reishi has immune-strengthening, antibacterial, powerful antiviral, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, and neuroregenerative properties, it helps to alleviate allergies by inhibiting the release of histamine in the body, and has been used to support liver function, and fight fatigue. It has also been used to treat urinary tract, bronchitis, and respiratory infections, digestive problems and stomach ulcers, tumour growth, skin disorders, autoimmune disorders, viruses, heart disease, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, sleep disorders and insomnia, arthritis, and anxiety and depression, including schizophrenia. Reishi works as an ‘immune-modulator,’ and has been used to restore hormonal balance, and bring the body back to homeostasis. Although Reishi is traditionally used medicinally rather than nutritionally, Reishi also contains calcium, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, zinc, manganese, and vitamins C, D, K, and B-complex.

  • Directions

    Take 2 capsules (1/4 tsp) in the morning, and 2 capsules (1/4 tsp) in the evening with food, or as directed. 

    Pregnant and breastfeeding women: take 1 capsule (1/8 tsp) in the morning and 1 capsule (1/8 tsp) in the evening with food, directly before or after feeding baby, or as directed. Gauge your body's response before taking the evening dose. If your body does not react, continue use as normal. The herbs medicinal effects will cross over to baby if breastfeeding. If a reaction occurs to you or baby, discontinue use immediately.

    Children 1 - 3 years: separate the capsule and give 1/3 capsule (160mg/ 1/24 tsp) with food/smoothie daily, or as directed. Reishi should not be consumed for long periods of time. Take a break before consuming again.

    Country of origin: reishi is a Chinese mushroom and ours has been cultivated and ethically-sourced in China. Our Reishi is grown on the sawdust of the broad-leaved trees (mango, poplar, coconut, sheesham). Sawdust, obtained from the saw mills, is amended with 20% wheat bran and is wetted to a level of 65% moisture.
